Coder - IV
Level 1 Trauma experience w/ 5+ years of experience
  • Specialities: Inpatient - burn, behavorial health, trauma
  • Must have clear understanding of APC, APR, DRG, MS DRG's, SOI, ROM, MCC, and CC
  • Assists with the daily operation of the HIM coding area; and ensures all codes assigned are compliant with the current coding guidelines
  • Responsible with training and mentoring of new coding staff, review and audit all types of coding, as well as testing and the implentation of new software
  • certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, or CPC
